Surnames: Brown, Fulton
Interested in any info on a George Washington Brown born June 13, 1844 somewhere in Tennessee. Married a Josephine Fulton from Kentucky in 1874. They moved to Marion County, Texas after that. I need info on either of them prior to 1874. His father may have been born in Alabama; his mother in Virginia

I am finding five Josephine Fultons in the census.. but none of them are born/living in KY> Most are in LA, MS, MO, PA.

do you have more info?
What about siblings? Any idea of Josephine's dob?

What about children after the marriage? Names? DOB?

is this couple white or black? Sometimes names come up the final wire, and the race is the answer to the question.

The white family is mine. Four year old George is my great grandfather. I'm wondering if Josephine wasn't REALLY her first name.

try using josie instead of Josephine. My great great grandmother's name was Josephine, but on her death cert and on some of the census records she goes by Josie. Sometimes spelled: Jossie or Josie. That might help.
