Hello, I saw your message about the 1860 Blount Co. census Potters. I am trying to determine if the Richard Potter age 17 on this record is the Richard A. Potter who joins the CSA 43rd Tennessee Infantry Co. H in McMinn Co. That latter Richard probably has a solidering age kinsman named James Potter who could be his brother. I'm not sure I've identified the correct one but soldier Richard A. Potter could be the fellow who marries Emeline Jones 21 Dec 1871 in McMinn Co. I'm trying to find Richard A. Potter's natal family.
