The Abraham Phillips family took this trek as did the Lacy Adams family. Were there any other families on this same trek that started about 1853-7?
Abraham had lived in Monroe County from 1830 or earlier and he moved his family in 1837 to Cades Cove. Something happened in the mid 50s that caused many people to leave that community. Do not know what.
