Seeking info on John R Rainey b. 1796 d. 1881, married to Phebe ? b. 1796 d. 1868. Buried in Rainey Cemetery located in Brockdell, Bledsoe Cty, TN. Listed on 1850 census, as farmer, with family members: Nancy, age 34, John D (Dillard?), age 26, Mary (Polly) A, age 22 (listed with father John on 1880 census District 8, Bledsoe Cty, TN), Elizabeth, age 20, Sarah, age 18, Phebe, age 16 (may be wife of Jonathan Smith), James, age 12. Suspect John is 3rd great grandfather. Any info would be appreciated.

From the headstone in Rainey Dill cemetery there is not
a middle initial of R. Does anyone know who John's father
might be? It appears that it could be William Rainey and
Chloe from NC. They often bought and sold property on the same dates. John was also a witness to a land purchase of William's along with a William Rainey Jr. Any information on this family would be appreciated.
