Looking for any information that may lead me to the father of Sam Brown, son of Martha Emaline Sampson(1846-1910). I'm looking at possibly visiting Bledsoe County to do some more research but I'd appreciate any direction someone may give me in where to start. I've verified there was no birth certificate issued at birth but perhaps there may be baptismal records or some other evidence.
According to the 1880 Census Sam's Mother was divorced from her husband so I'm almost certain that he is not the father(Ruben Worthington Brown).
