I need a marriage look up on William A. Brock and Rachel M. Walker. Married 1840 in Tennessee.

I noticed your post for marriage look up Bledsoe county Tennessee, There are no marriage records pre 1909 in Bledsoe due to a fire that destroyed their Court house.

You can contact the TSLA (Tennessee State Library Archives) by email, they can search the book by Byram Sistler. who gathered marriage records from all over Tennessee thru the early news papers and other sources, He compiled a book that the TSLA uses when no official record can be found.

The TSLA can also send you a copy for a small fee of that record.

I also search my data base for the name's you listed as I am related to most of the Walker families in the Bledsoe and Sequatchie Valley area , and sorry so match.

Thank you Brian for the info. on the Walker family. Plus the info. about the TSLA. I will be checking on that. That will be a big help. Sorry there were no match for Rachel M. Walker for ya. I know she has a sister Militia T. Walker born 1835 in Tennessee and a brother name Charles L. Walker born in 1836 Tennessee. They both were living with Rachel M. Walker in 1850. I could not find anything on or about their parents and still looking. If you happen to come across any of these names. I would be very appreciated of any info.
I do know that Rachel M. Walker married William A. Brock in 1840. I'm realted to the Brock family!
