The information I have is that Stephen Rogers was the brother of my
gg-grandfather, James B. Rogers. However, Stephen and James were both
born before 1835. Jesse's first wife, Mary Cross, did not pass away
until 1835. Therefore, I believe Stephen and James are the sons of
Jesse and Mary, not Jesse and Margaret. If my calculations are
correct, your husband and I are 4th cousins.

Here is something I found that you may or may not have. It was
posted to a genealogy.com message board by someone who posted all of the
Bedford County marriages between 1851-1900:
