...sometime before 1820 John Lemmons moved to Fountain Springs from Virginia. He purchased land that was granted to Thomas Hopkins. He eventually ended up owning over 500 acres on the Western Border of Warren Co. TN. His farm was known as the "Fountain Spring Place"....he died somewhere between 1827 and 1830. His sons Amos and John M. Lemmons continued operation on the mill that was on his land until the 1850s when they moved to Arkansas....

The Fountain Spring Cemetery is VERY hard to get to, but I'm going next weekend to speak with the lady that wrote the article. John and his wife Elizabeth are one of the few you can still get to and see.If you want photos let me know!!
