I am researching my great-great grandfather, John Fowler and my great-great grandmother, Josephine Sherwood Fowler. Josephine was born in Carroll County in 1861. Her father was John Sherwood, her mother's name is unknown. Her father was born in Illinois and her mother was born in North Carolina. According to census reports John was born in Tennessee and his mother and father were born in Tennessee. John Fowler and Josephine were married in Carroll County in April of 1880. They had 3 boys, Luther, William Priestly, Earnest. My great grandfather was Luther. There was a James Turner Fowler who lived in Hollow Rock, TN. He was always called "Uncle Jim". I am trying to connect him with John Fowler. "Uncle Jim" lived to be 100 years old. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
