John and Inger lived in Viking County in 1930 census, both 62 years old. I hope to find death date and/or place, in order to find obituaries. Inger's obituary may lead to life of mystery sister Anna (Hanna) Anderson and total mystery Jim Anderson. They came from Norway to Kingsbury County, had children, then moved around the state from farm to farm, and wound up at age 62 at Viking. The smallest clue could help here. Bill Allen.

Hi, Bill.

First, have you contacted the Perkins County vital records office to inquire whether they have a death index? They may be able to give you dates of death over the phone.

Do you already have John/Jonas and Inger in the 1920 & 1910 & 1900 censuses, to determine whether Anna Hanna Anderson or Jim Anderson might have been living with them at the time those censuses were enumerated?

Have you acquired naturalization papers for John/Jonas &/or Inger? I see the immigrated in the late 1880s; perhaps you can discover whether Anna came with them.

I assume Anna is John/Jonas's sister, and Jim is Anna's husband. Are you operating on the theory that Anna and Jim lived in the US?

Inger and John Hanna looks to be my G.G.Father's sister and brother-in-law. (and I thought I'd found all of his siblings!). I've been looking through microfilm of that area (Ellingson, S.D.) from 1919-1924 and their name comes up a lot. I'd be happy to share info. if still interested. My G.G.Father came from Norway to Kingsbury Co. also and has one sister who married a Granbakken in Norway before moving to U.S.
