Does anyone own the book that includes all the graves in Minnehaha County? Does it have an index? I was hoping someone could look for John F. and Ellen Anderson. John was born about 1877 and Ellen was born 10 July 1878. Both died after 1930. They are on the 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses at Sioux Falls. Thank you for any help. Chris cguida@djam.com

In 1982, Sioux Valley Genealogical Society published Grave Records of Minnehaha County, but it only inludes the rural cemeteries, not the main ones in Sioux Falls.

It does have one John F. ANDERSON (1873 - 1941), South Beaver Valley Cem., Valley Springs, SD.

There are also John ANDERSON, d. 1935, aged 69, County Cem., Sioux Falls; & John E. ANDERSON (1879 - 1942), Stordahl Lutheran, Dell Rapids. However, there's no Ellen close to your Ellen's birth date (July 1878).

After 1930, death certificates should indicate place of burial.

The closest I see for John SPEER is Jack B. SPEARS (23 Mar. 1897 - 1966), Section 27, Mapleton Twp., Minnehaha County Cemetery. There are some SPEAR entries, but no SPEER.

The only WALLACE entries are in Pleasant View, Valley Springs Twp., Section 3:
