I am trying to locate the burials for two people that were buried in a "family cemetery west of Westover" according to a family autobiography. I don't have a name for the cemetery and I haven't been able to find a list of cemeteries for the county anywhere. The burials I am looking for are Ada Maude Walker 3/1897-11/20/1905 and Edith May Walker 5/10/1898-12/29/1905. Any assistance is appreciated.

This county was originally in Lyman County and is now in Jones County. Check out the following websites. When I looked at the LBGS website I noticed a Walker named as a landowner in the early 1900's, maybe that would be where the family plot is located. If I can help anymore let me know, although I am not familiar with Jones County.

I was in Pierre at the state archives today and found this there. This is from the WPA cemetery records, which were done in 1940. The Westover Cemetery, organized 1898, Westover, SD Jones County. sec 32, lot 2 SE 1/4 NE 1/4. Twp 3 South Range 29.
