OBIT: "HERMAN (JIM) FRANK BURIED AT WINNER SATURDAY -- Herman KRAMER (Jim) FRANK was born July 8, 1906, to Mr. Frank FRANK and Sophia (KRAMER) FRANK at Ord, Nebraska. He passed away January 26, 1954, at 1:15 p.m., in his home in Highmore.
"In 1910, when Jim was four, the family moved to Tripp County of South Dakota where they purchased a farm north of WINNER. This was the home where Jim grew to manhood with his family, one of whom was a twin brother, Harold, who passed away in 1946.
"On July 5, 1934, he was united in marriage to Alice Elizabeth LINGO, daughter of Walter and Bartie DENNIS LINGO. To this union five children were born: Carole, Janice, Roger, Larry and Glenda.
"During the fall of 1941 Jim and his family moved to Hyde County to engage in farming south of Highmore. In 1951 the family moved to the city of Highmore.
"On September 7th of this year he underwent major brain surgery in Souix Falls, which revealed a malignant tumor.
"Jim was a member of the Methodist Church. He was baptized at Ord, Nebraska, as a child and united as a member of the church in Highmore. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Highmore and of the Elks Lodge at Huron.
"He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Alice, and their five children; his mother; one sister, Mrs. Clarice BRUNKOW, of WINNER, and two brothers, Ben of WINNER, and Hobart of Lincoln, Nebraska.
"He was preceded in death by his father and by his twin brother, Harold, by whom his interment was made in WINNER cemetery.
"Private services for the family were held at the Hurd Funeral Home Thursday evening, conducted by Rev. T.J. GRIFFITH.
"On Friday at 2:30 p.m. services were held at the local Methodist Church, Rev. GRIFFITH officiating. Masonic rites were conducted by Rev. H.A. GRAUBNER of Watertown, members of the local Ree Valley Lodge attending in a body. A quartett, Miss Doris McLAUGHLIN, Mrs. W.W. WALKER, Millard KIEL and Glenn WALKER, sang and Miss McLAUGHLIN, accompanied by A.A. KAYE, was soloists. Pallbearers were H.H. HARTSHORN, N.J. FAULSTICH, Herman BORTNESS, Ross WRIGHT Jr., Orris DAY and Marion MAGINNIS.
"In WINNER, Rev. GRIFFITH conducted services at the Methodist church in that City. A male quartett sang and honorary pallbearers were members of the WINNER Masonic Lodge who also conducted the graveside rites at the WINNER Cemetery."

In the fall of 1941 he and his family moved to Hyde County to engage in farming south of Highmore and in 1951 the family moved to Highmore.
