Surnames: Casper, Caspersyck, Kasper, Kasprzyk, Reuter, Sutton, Peterson, Evanson
Hi. I've recently discovered that my Polish-Prussian ancestors first settled near Big Stone City in Grant County. They were there from before 1880 to 1886, in the 1880 census on LDS, they were incorrectly indexed as Laspere. I'm looking for any suggestions on sources of info on them there - I'm hoping to find out where they came from in Europe citywise. Since they seemed to Americanize, and not Americanize their name frequently it's been difficult to locate them. Some spellings that I've found used: Casper, Caspersyck, Casprzyk, Kasper, Kaspersyck, etc.

I've found Martha Kaspersyck's birth certificate listed on the SD index, but none of the other children. Anne was supposed to be born in 1883. I have heard there is supposed to be a 1885 census, but haven't been able to find it online.

John Casper
+ Josephine Palazki (sp?)

Childrens' Names include: Frances, Mary, Martha, John Gustavus, Anne, Elizabeth, Kundigunde

Thanks for reading this.
