I apologize for not replying sooner. I requested an obituary about two years ago and it seems the fee was somewhere between $10-$20. However, since I live in Idaho and I needed a SD obit, it was well worth the money. I don't recall it took too long to receive it either. I got a close-up copy of the obit as well as a full page copy of the newspaper page. It was great to read the advertisements from 100+ years ago. My grandmother even remembered some of the businesses that were advertised and still existed when she was growing up there in the 1920 & 1930s.
