I am trying to track down any information on my great-great-grandfather John Carlyle Duncan. So far all I know about him is his mother's name was Martha M. He was born around 1848-49 in either South Carolina (he was living there when he was 3) or Georgia. He had sisters named Sarah, Elizabeth and Ealinor and brothers named Thomas Benjamin and Robert. This information came from the 1850 census record and that is where my trail goes cold. I do not know his father's name and therefore cannot go any farther. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated. Oh, he married a lady named Sarah Boswell.
