Looking for any information on a William Langley born 1718-1720 in Norfolk Virginia and potentially died in Craven County/Area South Carolina in 1768.
I see a lot of trees that connect that William Langley who died in 1768 in SC to the one from Virginia and then give children of this William as those who later resided in Edgefield County South Carolina:
David Langley
Josiah Langley
Isham Langley
and some others.
I’m trying to find any information and sources to back up or disprove this connection.
I trace my line to an Isham/Isum Langley who was born about 1755 and I’ve seen records that potentially track him from these areas of SC, some of these areas were probably the same places but re-defined.
1774 Berkeley County
1779-1789 - 96th District (Little Saludy)
1790-1804 Orangeburg District
1805 - Edgefield District
1818 - Moved to Clark County Arkansas
Through DNA I can positively connect to a David Langley of Edgefield Dstrict (a male descendant of his we share 37 out of 37 markers so they must have either been brothers or close cousins).
Trying to find *any* information about Langleys around those areas. Also interested in Andersons that lived there who intermarried.
