Looking for info on JAMES EDWARD BUICE, who supposedly came to America with DEXTER CONVERSE circa 1850s-60s, and settled in Spartanburg Co. They are said to have founded several mills, including Converse Mill, Clifton No. 1 and 2, Glendale, Spartan and one at Fingerville, along with a Joseph Finger. Would like to know if there are histories of these mills or if anyone knows when BUICE arrived in America and who he married.
