The Kirby's were married into the Scotch-Irish Coan family and go way back in Union/Spartanburg. Someone help me with this--can't you get free markers for veterans through the government? try to keep up with this--such as the DAR or Sons and Daughters of the Confederacy or whatever. I think the local library's genealogy room should be given a reference on it as well, just type up the info and send it to them to file. Most libraries have some cemetary lists with indexes on who is buried there in their local areas.
