Ok in looking back on the information that I have so far there was a African chief named Ivy Brewton brought to the US by slave trade. He married Mahalia(maiden name not known) they had 9 children, Ambrose, Jasper,Jarret, Elmore, Baxter, Rhoda, Frank, Darthoula the 9th name I dont have. I have a blank in the generations........then there was a Aaron Brewton who was the father of William Arthur Brewton who had 2 sisters, Minnie and Mamie and 5 brothers Aaron, Andrew, Artemus,Columbus and Hathaway.......William Arthur Brewton married Carla Norman and they had 8 children, Louise, Obie, Gladys, Elouise, Ernest, William Ardelle, Willie Lee and Annie Mae. William Arthur moved his children to Asheville NC. Four of his daughters moved north to Ohio, Elouise, Gladys, Willie Lee and Annie Mae. I am the granddaughter of Elouise.
