Hi,

Although I don't have direct personal evidence, yet, I did pick up some hints from a couple of family trees that indicate his name "could" be John B. Clark, born in Edgefield SC in 1775, died in Sevier, Tenn. in 1890, and married to Elizabeth Harkins.

They also list his father as James A. Clark (1805-1890), and his mother as Zelphia Saphronia (1755-1845).

I'll be happy to confirm when I find solid documentation.
