Grave yard-who is buried there?

I own a propertry on hwy 178 at sugar licker raod and on that property is a grave yard. There are a few dozen undressed head stones and one dressed stone. The dressed stone is the type issued by the VA and it is for Hiriam k. Reeves of the 4th South Carolina Calvery. Dose anybody out there have any good information on the history of that grave yard?

Just that the land that the cemetery is on used to be my family's land. Hyram Reeves was my GGGrandfather through his wife Lydia Powel (his second wife). Here is how it goes as far as I can find. There is Me, my Mother, Her Mother(Lela Reeves Bailey), Her Father (John Harrison Reeves) His Dad (the Hyram in question) then His Dad (Asel Reeves). My family still lives very near to the cemetery, they mostly live off of Gear Hwy near Punkin Town.

If anyone else has any documentation or information on the Reeves line it would be great!

Thanks, Joe

Joe, I just noticed your post and wondered if one of your ancestors was Silas Stone. Also Harrison Powell's second wife was Ageline Thomas who was a sister to my great-grandmother, Jane Thomas Dodson.

If this is you line, I would love to hear from you. Contract me a rogertgdodson@aol.com.

Silas Stone and Mary Langston were my GGGgrandparents. Is Silas in your family tree??
By the way, you can check out my personal tree at http://www.frontiernet.net/~haydenjandb/index.html

Browse around and see if anything is of any use to you, also see if you have any info or sources I can use in my tree.

I have not put Angeline (Harrison Powell's second wife) in my personal tree as she is not in my line. I may add Her in the future though.

I tried to E-Mail you with the address you put in the post but it will not go for some reason.
Joe
