Thank you for your reply. I think your James Knight is probably the son of James Knight Sr. There were two James Knight's. One born 3 Feb 1760, the other, born about 1792. I personally have seen the graves of James Knight b. 1760, and Jane Davis Knight. I have listed their tombstone photos and some info on Find A Grave.com. Memorial # 50540881. Cemetery is Knight Family Cemetery in Orangeburg, SC. They are buried out at Bull Swamp on what was James' property. Off of Magenta Road.

James Sr. had a son, James, who died between the 1860 and 1870 census.

Where is your Joseph buried?
