I have traced the Griffin's back to Samuel Watson Griffin (12 Jun 1876 - 13 Nov 1950) however from the stories passed down, his mother was a Creek Indian. I am unable to find ANY information on Samuel's mother or father. The story that was passed down was his father immigrated from Ireland around age 14 and eventually met and fell in love with an unknown Native American. While the rest of her tribe left on the Trail of Tears, he kept her behind and hid her from persecution. Supposedly, they married and Samuel Watson was born and the rest is history. Samuel's grandaughter was my paternal grandmother who had a family bible that she gave to me when I was a child just a few months before she passed, however it burned in a house fire in '94. If anyone has more information or can help me in anyway, please do.

Does anyone know of any Indians in the John M Strock family history?

I am also trying to see if there is any way to find out the address of a family from the late 1800s - early 1900s.

Finally...my maternal grandfather was an Irick and the only relatives I have for him are his mother and father, John Luther Irick and Beulah E Shuler. Any help with their parents would be appreciated also.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
