Seeking information on John W. SHIELDS b. 1797 in SC. There's a John SHIELDS on the 1800 census in Kershaw County but not sure if related. John W. SHIELDS married MAry BRADLEY (daughter of Hobbs BRADLEY). John and MAry and some of her brothers spent some time in Autuaga County, AL where they bought land. John and Mary eventually moved to Winston County, MS and John died there 1852.
