I am researching the John W. Rodgers, said to have been born in Salem, S. C. . He moved to unknown county in Tennessee, then on to Mississippi where I found his wife and children in Lowndes County, Mississippi in the 1850 census, but he wasn't with them. I don't know what happened to him.

Their children were: Alfred Aaron, Mary Jane, Saphronie, Hugh M., William J. (my line), and Sarah A. called Sallie. Elizabeth and the children moved on to Pontotoc County, Mississippi, then my line, Wesley Rodgers, son of William J., moved his family to Marked Tree, Arkansas in 1918.

Other family names were: Abner, Alonzo, Charlie, Isaac, Newton, Burrell, Dewey.
