YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2009, at the L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home for Mrs. Zoralean E. Lawson, 73, who went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mrs. Lawson was born April 3, 1936 in Greenville, S.C., a daughter of Frank P. and Inez Scott Robinson, coming to this area in 1962.
She was a 1954 graduate of Sterling High School in South Carolina.
Mrs. Lawson had been employed at St. Elizabeth Health Center as a nurses assistant, Youngstown Steel Door as a painter, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo and cooking and was a Daughter of Naomi Temple No. 124. Anyone who visited her home was always treated to her culinary specialities.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, five children, Cleophas, Janet and Edward Alexander, all of Youngstown, Ohio; Theresa Alexander (Robert) Harmon and Dorisena Alexander, both of Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren, including Tamarra Jackson and Tremaine Alexander, whom she reared; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, John H. Robinson of Youngstown; a sister, Betty Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Inez Robinson and a brother, Von Robinson.
Friends may call Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
