MASURY, Ohio – Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at the Word Centered Fellowship Presbyterian Church for Mr. Edgar H. Robinson, 82, who departed this life Thursday, March 15, 2012, at O’Brien Memorial Health Center.
Edgar was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Edgefield, S.C., a son of James and Ella Dobie Robinson.
He worked at Sharon Steel Corporation for over 40 years as a laborer and was awarded for perfect attendance. After retiring from Sharon Steel, he worked as a locker room attendant at Squaw Creek Country Club. He loved golf and was an avid fan of Tiger Woods. He would, when he could, find a golf partner(s) and go golfing. He always looked forward to the church’s “Game Night,” which was a social night when the church members and friends played competitive games.
He was a member of the Word Centered Fellowship Presbyterian Church and worked diligently as an usher until his health failed.
His wife, the former Annie C. Jefferson, whom he married in 1947, passed away March 17, 2003.
He leaves to cherish his beloved memory, his daughters, Rev. Donna J. (Lorenzo) Heard of West Middlesex, Pa., Pamela L. (Aaron) Talbert of Hermitage, Pa., Angela Ngoma of Merced, Calif. and Carmel Sanchez of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Regina (Ronald) Gibson of Las Vegas and Shirley Jefferson of Cleveland, Ohio; a son, Brian K. (Kim) Fleming of Pittsburgh; a brother, Isaac Thomas Robinson of North Augusta, S.C.; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by daughters, Linda E. Robinson Ragster and Toni Marie Robinson; two sisters, Nona Kelly and Janie Mae Holmes; and a brother, James W. Robinson.
Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
