William Eckells was a planter in St. Pauls Parish. He was the son of Robert Eckells, and flourished in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He had at least three daughters to survive childhood, and I think no sons. Two daughters married Charles Hurst and Thomas Gelzer. The third daughter Elizabeth Eckells married Seth Prior, Robert Hinton, and Philip? Duff. Elizabeth lived near St. George up until the 1860's, and then probably died. She was past 80.
