BLUEFIELD, Va. — Geraldine D. Howell, 83, of 295
Howell Road, Bluefield, Va. (Abb's Valley) went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Born December 1, 1925, in Anawalt, W.Va. she was the daughter of the late John
Freeman Dillon and Mary Ellen
Boggs Dillon. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She loved her God, her husband, and her family. She always made sure her family was taken care of up until she was unable to do so.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Gene Howell; a granddaughter, Misty Lusk; four sisters, her twin, Emma Jean

McClanahan. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Kenneth, Lawrence, Claude, Rufus, and Jim
Dillon.
Survivors: Her husband of sixty-two years,

Howell and wife Doris of Abb's Valley, Harold

Davis and husband Phillip of Abb's Valley, Va., Juanita
Dickens and husband Randy of Franklinton, N.C.; one sister, Clara
Fleming of Pocahontas, Va.; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday October 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rodriguez
Chapel in Pocahontas , Va. with the Rev. William
Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Friends may call one hour prior to service. Honorary pallbearer will be
