I'm working on a CARRAWAY line that seems to have originated in Darlington Co. with several 'John CARRAWAY' ancestors (John III, 1675-1719, m. 1695 Elizabeth CANNON), (John IV, 1700-1776, m. 1721 Margaret KEELING), and (John V, 1735-1798, m. 'Clary').
Also desperate for information on the descendants of Thomas CARRAWAY (1704-1791), particularly John (d. 1794, m. Margaret STUART), Elizabeth, Amy, Joshua (d. 1782), and Elijah (b. 1741). I believe that Elijah's son, Ezekiel CARRAWAY (b. 1774) and grandson Archibald CARAWAY may have moved to Alabama with John V's sons, Aaron and John W. CARAWAY. Aaron, John W. and Archibald all married Alabama women in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama in the 1829-1831 period.
Any particulars on any of these lines would be most welcome, and I will gladly share whatever I have collected on them with other CARRAWAY and collateral researchers.
