I am seeking information about James Washington Clark b. 1838. He lived in Colleton County, SC and served in the Confederate Army. He moved to Florida where he married Franes Louise Hope and settled in Port Richey, FL where he died in 1913. He is buried at Cycadia Cemetery in Tarpon Springs, FL. Any information about his parents or life in Colleton County would be greatly appreciated.

Look for Colleton County census records for James Clark born 1842. Second son of James W. Clark (born c.1815). On 1850 as Jas Clark age 8 and 1860 as James Clark age 18.

I'm descended from a still in Colleton/Dorchester county branch of this family. We have always had a story about a "brother" who went off to Florida and owned a citrus grove.
http://www.fivay.org/pasco2c.html seems to match.
