I am trying to locate a death date for this man..he was in the 1920 and 1930 Cherokee Falls census..WWI vet, written
to Spartanburg libary, Floyd's cemeteries, Cherokee health
department...without success..

Anyone have any ideas..is there a directory for
Cherokee Falls for 1935 or 1940?

Know all men by these presents that we Elizabeth Scates, R.M. Wilson, Henry White and George Wilson are held and firmly bound unto the commissioners of the poor for York District in the just sum of Six Hundred dollars to be paid to Wm P. Thomason as commissioner of the poor and their successors in office to which payment will and duly to be made and done we jointly and severally bind our selves and we do hereby severally bind our heirs Executors and administrators firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 19th day of December one thousand eight and fifty six
The condition of the above obligations is such that as Elizabeth Scates a Single woman of York District has made oath that she was delivered of a male Bastard Child that is liable to become chargable to the district and hath charged Robert M. W. Wilson within having begotten her with child of said bastard child now If the above bound Elizabeth Scates Robert M. Wilson Henry P. White or George Wilson or Either of them shall from time to time and at all times indemnify and save harmless the said commissioners from all cost and charges sales assessment or taxes as also all other inhabitents of the State from all suits or Demand cost or trouble by reason of the birth maintance and education of said Bastard Child and so maintain and Educate said child so as to prevent said child from becoming Chargable to the public in any way the the above obligations to be null and void otherwise to Remain in full force and virtue taken and acknowledged this day and date above written
