Slaves on Toogoodoo (addition)

I'm not sure what name was used by the slaves who were left in South Carolina. I was doing some research and the name Somersett Gordon popped up.

On the Freedman's Bureau records Somersett Gordon listed his father as Somersett and I also found a record for Somersett (the father) and it listed his father's name as Somersett as well (and mother's name Flora). Somersett, the father was born between 1795-1800, this could be the son of the Somersett listed in the previous post (Major Pierce Butler's runaway mustezo lad) but I'm not sure. The son Somersett said he was born on Edisto Island and raised on "Tocado Parish" (I just assumed it was Toogoodoo Plantation).

I also found both of them on the Charleston directory for 1889. I looked up that address for 2005 and there is a woman whose last name is Gordon who lives either next door or directly across the street (Tradd Street). I tried to contact her but no one was home. I was wondering if there was a connection.
