Need help in finding information on my FILES line who were in Anderson Co. prior to 1800. MANLEY A. FILES, SR., b: ca. 1777, Augusta Co., VA (son of Rev. War Soldier JOHN FILES). MANLEY SR. married SARAH McKINNEY and they were in Pendleton Dist., SC by 1800. I am trying to prove that MANLEY SR. was the father of MANLEY JR. "ANY" help will be greatly appreciated.
