Are you related to the McCulloughs who came over from County Antrim in the late 1790s? My great great great grandmother was Sarah McCullough - their neice, who married John Scott. Her uncles helped them come over and get settled here ca. 1840s. I have some info on the McCulloughs - if so.

Nancy

Hi Nancy!
It may be the same family. My records only go back as far as 1876 with the will of a Samuel D. McCullough. Brothers listed are a John McCullough, the line that flows to my grandmother, he was my great, great, great grandfather, and sisters to Samuel and John are Nancy and Margaret. That is as far back as I go. If you have anything I would love to hear from you. Marshallhord@iwon.com and if you would like copies of what I have I will make them and mail them it you like, just email me and let me know.
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Tonya

Tonya The Samuel D McCullough was born in 1800 according to the Census and it gives him as Davis McCullough so i reacon the D stands for Davis He is listed with Margaret and Nancy his sisters and John R McCullough was born in 1810 John's childrens census says he was born in Virginia but his says he was born in South Carolina the will that was made out in 1876 of Samuel Davis . John R son Alexander Warn was executor of the will. All these lived and died in Corner Township inAnderson South Carolina. I Also have a copy of a estate sale that shows them in corner Township in 1824.

This Samuel McCullough was born in 1800 and his brother John D McCullough was born in 1810 and Nancy was born 1821 and Margaret was born 1824 in Iva Anderson South Carolina and their father was John McColough born about 1770 in Ireland and his wife was born in Pennsylvania and I would like to know her madian name if anyone is familier with these. John McColough got a land grant in 1792 and it is listed on Beards Creek below Iva and I found it listed in Ninety Six district in state archives It was for 484 acres and some of the McCulloughs still live there.
