Billie,
I know that these postings are old but I had a reason today to be looking at these Turner/Richardson/Powell family connections again.
When I tried to follow up on Pam Chile's posting, it looks to me like that identification of Mrs. C. L. Busbee as the Carrie Eugenia wife of Clarence L. Busby can't be correct. In another posting on the Busby board, she said that her husband's line traces to Clovis Busby daughter of Clarence L. and Carrie Eugenia.
That family is located in Hart Co. GA in 1910 and Carrie is 36 years old and has been married once to Clarence and she would have been born about 1874. They had been married 16 years.
In 1920, the family is living in Atlanta, Fulton Co. GA and Clarence (listed as Busbey) is 52 born in SC and wife Carrie is 48 born in SC. That makes Carrie's birth about 1872.
Clovis the daughter is 10 years old in 1920 and was born in GA as are the other children who were age 18 and younger.
So, if Carrie Eugenia (wife of this Clarence L. Busbee) was born about 1872-1874, it is highly unlikely that she would be the daughter of William Stanmore Richardson.
William Stanmore Richardson was born May 17, 1855 per his death certificate or May 1856 per the 1900 census. Margaret "Maggie" Powell Richardson was born March 19, 1860 per her death certificate and that year agrees with the 1900 Census for her. So, again, it seems a little unlikely that she would have a child born when she was 12 years old although some of these gals did have kids pretty early.
I checked 1880 Census and although I can't quickly turn up William S. Richardson, Margaret Powell (age 19) is still unmarried and living with her parents in Edgefield Co. (Pine Grove Township).
Her death certificate listed her parents as John W. Powell and mother as Durana Bledsoe. The 1880 Census has them as John W. Powel (age 61) and Dirindy (age 62).
Thus, even without other information, I don't think that Pam's husband's line of Clarence L. Busby (of whatever spelling they settled on) and wife Carrie Eugenia (maiden name unknown) is the correct couple.
That obituary for William S. Richardson seems to have left out several of his children. Also, the Lizzie Posey listed as his daughter is really his half-sister, Elizabeth Turner.
Elizabeth Turner Posey's death certificate (May 6, 1938 in Saluda Co.) confirms that her parents were James Turner and mother Caroline Rodgers.
Per the 1900 Census, William S. Richardson and Margaret "Maggie" Powell were married about 1882.

[this Selma Gregory listed as a daughter almost certainly isn't a daughter of William and Margaret but could be granddaughter.
In 1920, John Richardson is with wife Beatres (Beatrice); Donie is with Sibley Cushman.
In 1930, Dora B. is with Lewis O. Gregory; Donie is still with with Sibley L. Cushman and of course Bessie and Bertha are still with their parents.
Dora B. was married to Lewis O. Gregory. She was born 7 Oct 1894 and died Feb 1984 with last SS address being North Augusta, SC.
Now for what this was really all about in the first place:
Kate/Katie Richardson was born 15 Sep 1894 and died Feb. 1982. She was married to Carlie Lee Busbee.

I have not been able to find Kate/Katie and Carlie in the 1930 Census--I've tried a lot of wild card searches and simply haven't been able to turn them up. However, I believe that this amount of information proves that the Mrs. C. L. Busbee named in the records for the family of William Stanmore Richardson and Margaret "Maggie" Powell was their daughter Kate/Katie Richardson and her husband was C. L. (Carlie Lee) Busbee.
Always nice to get everyone in the right "pews."
