Hi, Thomas
Don't know if this is helpful or not, but my father's family, Valimont, is decended from French Huguenot's. As I understand it, our Greatgrandfather (4x's removed) brought the family here from France in 1834. His surname at the time was "Fauconnier or Fauconier". We believe he "adopted" our grandmothers last name. They settled in the small town of Frenchville, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. You may want to search Clearfield County records for more info.
