My ancesters lived in Chesterfield Co. S.C. arrived there (Chesterfield) in the early 1700. Tredition says they came up the Pee Dee from George Town and lived in Charleston before that. Would like to make the connnection back to Charleston . or to George Town. Some of the family names are James, Fredrick, and William. Rivers is a French name. Don't know if they came from England or France. Would appreciate any leads at all.
