I have read that when Kingstown was split into North Kingstown and South Kingstown in 1721-1722 that North Kingstown kept the old Kingstown records and that South Kingstown got copies. I cannot really find in the LDS microfilm of South Kingstown records what might be the copies of older records. I'd be grateful to anyone who can tell me whether the copies of the older records survive and what they might be called in the South Kingstown archives.
