Deceased Name: JOYLAND PARK
Joyland PARK, 71, of 12 A PARK Place Ashaway, husband of the late Mary V. (Hurtado) (Janes) PARK, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001.
Born in Pawcatuck on Feb. 4, 1930, he was the son of the late Pearl "Grandma" PARK Pratt.
Mr. Park was a route carrier for The Westerly Sun, a member and past elder of the Babcock Presbyterian Church, and an avid organ player and singer.
He is survived by three sons, James PARK and Robert PARK of Ashaway, and Joseph Janes of Westerly; six daughters, Linda Lewis of Wakefield, Pamela Felker and Debra Corey both of Ashaway, Donna Holly of Mystic, Linda Klepach of Pawcatuck, and Patricia Brewer of Colorado; two sisters, Donna Litwin and Rosalie Sherron both of Ashaway; three brothers, William Pratt of Maryland, David Pratt of New York, and Daniel Pratt of Ashaway; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren
He was predeceased by one sister, Pauline Holland.
Funeral services will be held from the Babcock Presbyterian Church, Maxon Street, Ashaway, Tuesday at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in River Bend Cemetery.
The family requests that contributions be made in his name to the Rhode Island Renal Institute, 1 Rhody Drive, Westerly 02891.
