The records went to Charlestown during the Rev. war with Robert Sands as I recall and were returned. lots of intercourse with all the south shoreline towns especially around Stonington Ct. It was an easy reach sailing. As far as Achors was concerened there was a huge land dispute in the families where they claimed Achors was illegite as his mothers marriage was never recorded. It is all written about in the R.I. Gen. Register, excellent first hand info written by Simon Ray.
