He also served in the 81st Regiment from NY in the Civil War. He later came to Georgia in what was then southern Ware Co. He and his wife and two sons, William Herbert and Arthur Waldo Emerson Babcock are buried in the Axson Cemetary in Axson,GA. Curious why they came to south GA. Any info on this family would be appreciated.
