Murphy who was a state senator, sometime around 1918? Known as Col. Murphy, a plumbing contractor, lived at 169
Broadway. He d 31 Dec 1932. I thought perhaps there would be more published info on him? Or that his house could possibly still be standing. He would have been a great uncle.
Mrs. Patrick (Julia
Murphy) Harvey, lived at 44
Mann Avenue.She was a member of Rosary Sodality of St. Jospeh's parish. She was a dressmaker. She died 19 Dec 1942.
There also was a family home at 69
Tilden Ave.
I know the family also attended St Mary's, and I have found some beautiful photos of that.
I would be interested in finding a good book on
Newport from the 1870's on...
If you could tell me of any possible leads, or what other historical records are available I would appreciate it!
