Re: LEAHYs of Bristol
Not sure if your still there but I'm trying to make a connection with some Leahy's that lived in Bristol in the late 1850's and early 1860's. There's Phillip b. 1814 and his wife Margaret b. 1820. These are their children:
Bridget b. c1840 in Ireland
John b. c 1843 in Ireland
Michael b. c1847 in Ireland
Phillip b. 1860 in Rhode Island
Several of the family members are listed as cotton mill workers on the 1860 Federal Census.
Phillip, Margaret and their son, Phillip, left Rhode Island and moved west. They settled in Kingston Township, Green Lake County, Wisconsin, but their older children remained behind in Rhode Island.
If you can make a connection with any of the family members who stayed behind, I'd like very much to hear from you.
Thanks
