      <description>Earl L. Richards&lt;br&gt;Died- May 10, 2013&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Earl L. Richards, 53, 300 Centre St., Ashland, passed away Friday at Geisinger-Shamokin Community Hospital.&lt;br&gt;Born in Fountain Springs, Jan. 5, 1960, he was the son of Dora Richards, Reading, and the late Earl G. Richards, who passed away November 2010. &lt;br&gt;He was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School, class of 1977.&lt;br&gt;Earl was employed for Richards' Service Station until its closing, and he continued to operate Richards Spring Water, both of Ashland.&lt;br&gt;He was preceded in death by uncles, Robert, Glenn and David Richards.&lt;br&gt;Surviving, in addition to his mother, are uncles, Frank Paul and his wife, Sue, Ashland, William Richards, wife of Bertie, West Palm Beach, Fla., Lewis Richards and his wife, Sharon, Macungie, Kenneth Richards and his wife, Virginia, Mount Carmel, and Wade Richards, Girardville.&lt;br&gt;Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday in Citizens Cemetery, Lavelle. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie Dalious, pastor of Olivet Reformed Church, Reading. Richard W.       <description>Evening Herald Friday November 9, 1956 &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Joseph Dolan, Big Mine Run, died suddenly last evening at the home of his nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Butler, also of Big Mine Run.&lt;br&gt;A son of the late Patrick and Ann (Shovlin) Dolan, he lived the greater part of his life in Girardville.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Ashland.&lt;br&gt;Mr. Dolan was last employed as a janitor at Immaculate Heart Academy in Fountain Springs.  He was also affiliated with the Rangers Hose Company in Girardville.&lt;br&gt;Surviving are one brother, William, of Big Mine Run, and several nieces and nephews.&lt;br&gt;The funeral will take place Monday morning from the McDonald Funeral Home, 403 West Main Street, Girard-ville.  Solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, Ashland, at 9:30 am.&lt;br&gt;Viewing will begin Saturday evening and continue until funeral time.  Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at Fountain Springs.&lt;br&gt;M J McDonald and Son have charge of arrangements&lt;br&gt;</description>

Hebert, 64, of Lavelle, died last evening in the Ashland State Hospital where she had been admitted Sunday.  Mrs. Hebert had been in ill health for the past five years.&lt;br&gt;Born in Lavelle, June 27, 1892, she was a resident of that community her entire life and a member of the PO of A there.  A daughter of the late Felix and Mary (Welker) Wolfgang, she was a member of Zion’s Reformed Church in Ashland.&lt;br&gt;To survive are her husband, John, and the following children: Mrs. Curtis Banning, Thomas and Lester, a member of the Ashland High School faculty, all of Tamaqua; Mrs. Nelson Kehler, Lavelle; Mrs. George Reiff, Ashland RD and Edward, Sulphur, Louisiana.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren and the following brother and sisters: Thomas Wolfgang and Mrs. Emerson Maurer, both of Lavelle; Mrs. Charles Paul, Mrs. Earl Leib, Mrs. John Kane and Mrs. Edgar Davies, all of Ashland and Mrs. Edward Maurer of Mowry.&lt;br&gt;The funeral will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from her late home with Rev. Melvin F. Walper, pastor of Zion’s Reformed Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery, Lavelle and a viewing will be held Friday evening until the time of the funeral.  Kull Funeral Service has charge.&lt;br&gt;</description>

She was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Pitman.&lt;br&gt;To survive, in addition to her husband, are the following children: Mrs. Arthur Scheib, Hegins; Mrs. Leon Snyder, Boyertown; Robert and Jay, both of Pitman; and Florence, at home.  Fifteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren also survive.&lt;br&gt;Funeral services will be held Saturday morning from her late home with further services in the Zion Evangelical Church.  Rev. She had been admitted to the hospital as a medical patient August 3.&lt;br&gt;A native of Girardville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Gulliford Goddard.  Her stepmother, Augusta Goddard, died three weeks ago.  Her husband, Henry, died in 1954.&lt;br&gt;Surviving are ten daughters Mrs. Adaline Thatcher, Mrs. Frank Brennan, Mrs. Walter Schoffler, and Mrs. Herral Zimmerman, all of Philadelphia; Mrs. Fred Keuhn, Southampton PA; Mrs. Thomas Skocik, Ashland; Mrs. Frank Nagg, Tremont; Mrs. George Mendler, South Amboy NJ; Mrs. Louis Hicks, Miami FL; and Mrs. Edwin Korn, Ashland.  Also surviving are four sons, Joseph and Henry Marlow, Philadelphia; George, Canada; and Harold Marlow; one sister, Mrs. Ada Shoemaker, Philadelphia; two brothers, William and George Goddard, both of Philadelphia; two half sisters, Gertrude Goddard and Mrs. Elizabeth Shuey, Locust Dale; twenty two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.&lt;br&gt;The funeral will be Saturday afternoon from Madden Funeral Home, Ashland. Ill for two weeks, she had been admitted to the hospital Friday.&lt;br&gt;Born near Numidia, Columbia County August 14, 1871, Mrs. Williams was a daughter of the late Isaac and Harriet Fetterman Dyer.  A resident of Ashland for almost 70 years, she was a member of the Methodist Church and the WCTU.&lt;br&gt;Surviving are her husband to whom she was married 63 years ago last June 7 and three daughters: Mrs. Harry Kostenbauder Jr of Aristes; Mrs. C Marlin Crum of Wyandotte MI, and Mrs. J Edwin Thomas of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one brother, John Dyer of Frackville.&lt;br&gt;Funeral will be Tuesday afternoon from the Otto Funeral Home Ashland. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, he had been formerly employed by the old Eastern Street Milt.  He retired six weeks ago from the hospital.&lt;br&gt;Surviving are two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Calvin Hein, Mrs. Maude Reed, and Harry, all of Pottsville; and Robert, at home.&lt;br&gt;Funeral will be held Thursday afternoon from the Sterner Funeral Home, 917 West Market Street. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lavelle, and of the POS of A, Lavelle, and the Foresters, Ashland.&lt;br&gt;Surviving is his wife, the former Vera Hornberger; three sons, Carl Jr, Sonoma CA; Gene, Philadelphia; Wade, US Army in Fort Knox KY; one brother, William, Ashland; four sisters, Clara, wife of Clarence Paul, Lavelle; Elizabeth, wife of Peter Schnee, Lavelle; Carrie, wife of Carr Dornsife, Williamstown; and Mrs. Lottie Slotterback, Williamstown.&lt;br&gt;The funeral will be Tuesday afternoon from his late home.       <description>Mount Carmel Item Monday September 10, 1956&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mrs. Stella Christine Enterline, one of Lavelle’s oldest residents died at her home Saturday afternoon at 4:10 o’clock due to advanced age and complications.  She was 86 years of age and, during the past several years, had been in ailing health.&lt;br&gt;Mrs. Enterline, a daughter of the late Samuel and Anne (Troutman) Strohecker, was born in Klingerstown May 23, 1870.  Her husband, Thomas Enterline, preceded her in death twenty-eight years ago.  She was a member of the Christ Evangelical Congregational Church, Lavelle.&lt;br&gt;Mrs. Enterline, together with her husband, operated the Enterline’s grocery store at Lavelle up until the death of her husband in 1928.&lt;br&gt;Three daughters and three sons survive.  They are Grace, wife of Charles Helwig; Marie, wife of John Welker; Anna, wife of Charles Welker; Breight S and Russell E Enterline, Lavelle; and Lamar H Enterline of Allentown.  There are nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.&lt;br&gt;The funeral will be strictly private Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 pm with services at the Rothermel Funeral Home, Mount Carmel.  Rev. Richard Guistwite, pastor of the Christ Evangelical Congregational Church, Lavelle, will officiate.  Burial will be in the Citizen’s cemetery at Huntersville.  There will be no viewing or visitation Monday evening, the family announced.&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>Mount Carmel Item Tuesday September 4, 1956&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;John Fetterman of Third and Pine Streets, Catawissa, died in the Bloomsburg Hospital at 1:30 yesterday morning of a heart attack.  He is a brother in law of Mrs. Anna Davis, 332 South Market Street, and has many relatives and friends the Mount Carmel area.  He leaves his wife, the former Ella Myers of Shenandoah and eight children, fifteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren.&lt;br&gt;The viewing will be at the Wilford Funeral Home, Catawissa, tomorrow evening and the funeral will be Thursday afternoon from the funeral with the pastor of the Catawissa Methodist Church in charge of services.&lt;br&gt;</description>
