Lorraine M. Kuhar
ELYSBURG — Lorraine M. Kuhar, 76, of 5 Whitetail Drive, passed away at 12:42 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 2, 1936, in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Churprinski) Benning.
She was a 1953 graduate of Mount Carmel High School and a 1957 graduate of Geisinger School of Nursing.
She married Robert Kuhar, who preceded her in death June 2, 2010.
She worked as a registered nurse for various hospitals and doctor offices in Chicago and Philadelphia, retiring in 1996.
Lorraine loved her cats and enjoyed arts and crafts and visiting Atlantic City.
Surviving are two children, Matthew C. Kuhar and his partner, Randy Hickey, of Cambridge, Ontario, and Chris Ann Kuhar, of Springfield, Va.

KUHAR — Lorraine M. Kuhar, 76, of 5 Whitetail Drive, Elysburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, Elysburg with the Rev. Alfred Sceski officiating. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Elysburg. There will be a visitation with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. The Ray W. Rothermel Funeral Home, 387 W. Valley Ave., Elysburg, is in charge of the arrangements.
