Surnames: Young
I have a William Woodson Young married to an Ollitha. 1850 Itawamba County, MS, census shows they and their first daughter, Mary, were born in GA. The rest of their children were born in MS. (Found in Tupelo, MS
Library - GA county records- License list page #53, Marraige Page 86 Groom- Woodson Young Bride - Keisha Minor, date 10/12/1811 married by Nippen Adom O.M.G. I don't know if he was married to Keisha Minor first and then she died or not.

William W. Young was listed on a MS 1836 Tax list - This is the first year MS was formed. George Young, James H. Young and a William Woodson Young are listed as
heads of family on the Itawamba Co., MS 1850 Census. I am sure the three are related but don't know how?

A family member had William Woodson Young linked to Thomas Young, the Wheelwright, who was on the first shipload of Georgia settlers in 1733. He received lot 21 in Savannah, GA.,on dec 1733 and married the Widow Box of Aberconn, July 1734. I have found that a Thomas Young went to the Carolinas from GA.

I also found the following in Library - Historical Collections Brandon's Defeat by Thomas Young
It states that Thomas Brandon was an Uncle, to Maj Thomas Young, and a father of Thomas Brandon, William Brandon, James Brandon, Jane Brandon, Ann Brandon and Elizabeth Brandon.

Also, home.HiWAAY.net/~rts2/ancestry (Family of Isaac Carter ca 1764, NC -
1834 MS - shows a Thomas Young family residing in forks of the Edisto
River,S.C. on the 1800 census. Also, names a sister, Nancy Young Carter.

Thomas Young had:
Thomas Brandon Young
William Young
James Young
Jane Young
Ann Young
Elizabeth Young

Also in Fulton, MS Library found article on a Mary Jessie Young married to a James Coburn. They lived in Aberdeen, MS., and it gives her line back to Thomas Young b 1735 d 1777 wife Catherine Brandon Young d 1814. I have more info on this line if you need it.

What I am trying to document is: Is Thomas Young the father of William Woodson Young and if so, who were William's mother and siblings? And who was Thomas Young's father?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
