Have you ever researched who Henry Love's brother was? I have Henry's DAR file and some of Waltrin's (The youngest son) obit sounds like my Love family. We have a letter from the 1880's that says grandfather Love came from Ireland before the commencement of the Revolutionary War. He was working near Washington City when the war began. He fought for 7 years. It also says his wife was German and they could hardly understand each other.
In Waltrin's obit it says his mother was Catherine Waltrin and describes her as being Henry's little German wife. I was thinking that Henry and his brother might both have married German women.

I know the book about the Place family says Catherine's maide name was Bensley, but Catherine's own son says her anme was Waltrin. What do you think?
