My great-grandparents were said to be married in Lovelton, Wyoming County, PA in Oct 1870. When I do an internet search for Lovelton, I can only find a Lovelton Hotel.

Where is Lovelton? I would also like to know just a bit about its history and why it might have been chosen as a place to marry since it wasn't where either of their families lived.

My great-grandmother Hannah Jane Hunsinger was living in Colley, Sullivan County, PA at the time and my great-grandfather James Barton Winslow was living in Wilmot, Bradford County, PA. On Mapquest it looks like Wilmot and Colley are about 6 miles apart. I also haven't figured out how they met. How likely is it that they would have met living that far apart in 1870?
